Dr. Clara Aisenstein MD is Board-Certified in both Adult and Child Psychiatry. She trained in Adult Psychiatry at the Langley Porter Hospital in San Francisco and in Child Psychiatry at a Harvard Medical School Clinic: James Jackson Putnam Children's Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
In Washington DC; she was an Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry in Georgetown University’s Medical School for many years. Presently, she practices Tele-Psychiatry and also maintains a small solo outpatient practice and uses a diverse modality of psycho-dynamic psychotherapy treatments specifically adapted to each Adult, Child or Family. She is a culturally oriented and sensitive clinician. Her practice is fairly evenly divided between adults and children.
Dr. Aisenstein treats members of diverse cultural and ethnic communities. She is a Native Spanish Speaker and also speaks Portuguese. She has lived and practiced in the US for more than thirty years and serves populations of patients from all walks of life; African American, White, Latinos, of all religions and spiritual backgrounds.
